$1.1B Women-Led RIA Joins Mercer Global Advisors
Mercer Global Advisors has acquired a Waltham, MA-based registered investment advisor firm, which manages approximately $1.1 billion in client assets.
The team, O’Brien Wealth Partners, founded in 1986, offers “comprehensive” wealth management, financial planning, investment management, and investment solutions to high-net-worth individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations, Mercer said.
O’Brien Wealth, a women-led advisory firm, is led by president and CEO Jill Ann Fopiano and is supported by a team of 14 individuals, seven of whom are women advisors. The firm’s executive advisor is Colchester Partners, an investment banking and strategic advisory firm.
“We were looking for a partner who could honor the care and continuity we’ve provided clients for decades, while advancing our vision for thoughtful, intentional growth,” Fopiano said. “Mercer Advisors brings deep planning expertise, institutional-level capabilities and a genuine respect for how we serve. Just as importantly, they understand the power of diverse leadership and a collaborative culture, making this a natural next chapter for our team and the families we support.”
Mercer Global Advisors has acquired Oklahoma-based Full Sail Capital, a wealth manager with $2 billion in client assets, marking Mercer’s third-largest acquisition to date.
Denver-based Mercer Global Advisors is backed by a collective group of private equity firms, including Oak Hill Capital, Genstar Capital, and Altas Partners. The firm manages about $72 billion in assets under management and operates across more than 100 locations, the firm said.
