Bansk Group Closes CPG-Focused Maiden Fund at $800M
Bansk Group, a consumer-focused private investment firm, closed its first fund, Bansk Fund I LP, at $800 million. The fundraise boosted the NY-based firm’s assets, including co-investments, to $1.5 billion.
The firm targets investments in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) sectors such as beauty & personal care, consumer health, food & beverage and household products with equity investments of $100 million to $400 million.
Bansk is led by senior partner and chairman, Bart Becht, previously CEO of Reckitt Benckiser, and Brian O’Connor, senior partner and CIO, previously at Vestar Capital Partners.
Other partners include Chris Kelly, formerly at TPG Growth, and Bill Mordan, formerly at Reckitt Benckiser.
“Our experience enables us to identify differentiated brands in high growth segments of CPG and uniquely positions us to add value post investment, which resonated with investors during the fundraise,” said Becht.
To date, the fund has invested in four companies: pest & animal control platform Woodstream; consumer health and wellness platform Arcadia Consumer Healthcare; The Bansk Haircare portfolio; and Red’s All Natural.
