Brightwood Capital Prices $253.55M Middle-Market CLO

Brightwood Capital Advisors has priced a $253.55 million collateralized loan obligation, adding to its financing activity for middle-market lending. The transaction, Brightwood Capital MM CLO 2026-1 Ltd., is the firm’s 10th CLO issuance since 2019. GreensLedge Capital Markets will serve as placement agent.

Brightwood said it received indications from third-party investors for securities rated AAA through BB. Interested investors include insurance companies, banks and asset managers.

“Investor demand for this transaction reflects the continued interest in private credit and the value investors see in the underlying assets,” said Arlene Shaw, managing director and treasurer at Brightwood.

Brightwood primarily invests in U.S. businesses generating between $5 million and $75 million in EBITDA. Its lending strategy focuses on five industries: technology and telecommunications, health care services, business services, transportation and logistics, and franchising.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in New York City, Brightwood managed more than $6 billion in assets as of March 31, 2026.
