Ascentis Independent Advisors Adds 4 Firms with $1B in AUM from Raymond James
Dallas-based registered investment advisor Ascentis Independent Advisors, owned by Ascentis Wealth Holdings, has added four practices from Raymond James Financial Services.
The firms, Capital Waypoint, Citrus Wealth Management, IMPACT Financial Strategies and Rooted Wealth Management, bring about $1 billion in combined assets to Ascentis.
Fresno, CA-based Capital Waypoint, is led by managing director and wealth manager Jarrod Martinez, and manages $256 million in total client assets. The team includes registered client advisor Vlada Trostyanskaya, operations coordinator and senior registered client service associate Cheryl Hurne, and administrative assistant Sofia Cardoso. The practice also has an office in Monterey, California.
Redlands, CA-based Citrus Wealth Management is led by president and wealth manager Jeff Marvin and manages $230 million in total client assets. The practice serves retired utility company workers, healthcare workers, and families. The team also includes branch associate Will Yeager and client services coordinator Michele Huckfeldt.
Fort Collins, CO-based IMPACT Financial Strategies, which was founded in 2019, is led by Justin Davis, and manages $303 million in total client assets. IMPACT provides wealth management services to high-net-worth clients, including business owners and retirees. The team also includes Timothy Murray, Svetlana Koltun, Sean Duffy, Anna Frisby, and Stephanie Davis.
Modesto, CA-based Rooted Wealth Management, is led by founding partners Thad Ortez and Robert Powell and manages bout $275 million in total client assets. The practice serves retirees, pre-retirees, and business owners. The team is supported by client service associate Lori Rivera.
Following the transition, all four firms will continue to operate under their own brand and from their respective offices in California and Colorado.
Additionally, the practices will also continue to use Raymond James as their primary custodian, as the practices have been functioning as a branch under Raymond James since 2022.
“Established advisors want to keep expanding what they can offer clients without having to build and manage every new capability themselves. That was part of the appeal for these four teams,” said Clint Sorenson, CIO of Ascentis Asset Management.
Ascentis Independent Advisors was launched in January by a team of 43 advisors, rebranding from Golden State Equity Partners, which managed more than $2 billion in client assets.
