Bluespring Wealth Partners Create $1B Firm with Family Wealth Counseling Acquisition
Bluespring Wealth Partners, a Kestra Financial subsidiary, has acquired a Texas-based wealth management firm.
As part of the merger, Family Wealth Counseling, will be folded into existing Bluespring firm KDI Wealth Management, and the combined practice will operate as Bluespring Wealth.
Austin-based Family Wealth, founded in 1997, is led by president and owner Anne Trinh, and offers succession planning, risk management, financial planning, exit planning, estate planning and wealth management services.
The combined entity includes 16 members, including eight advisors, overseeing about $1 billion in assets under management.
Bluespring Wealth acquired Scottsdale, AZ-based KDI Wealth Management in 2024.
Together, the combined entity will create a woman-led advisor team, serving high-net-worth clients, including business owners, and investors with focus on business transitions and multigenerational wealth.
Through the merger, Family Wealth Counseling will gain access to broader access to planning capabilities, investment research, and additional operational and compliance support.
“This was a proactive decision about the future of our business and how we can continue serving our clients for generations to come,” Trinh said. “Bringing our teams together gives us greater depth and broader know-how and experience to draw from without changing the relationships our clients know and trust.”
In June, Bluespring Wealth added Kestra affiliate Element Wealth Advisors, which manages roughly $450 million in total client assets.
Kestra Financial launched Austin-based Bluespring Wealth Partners in 2019 and in 2024 investment firm Stone Point Capital took an undisclosed majority stake in Bluespring from Warburg Pincus.
Kestra Financial and its brokerage and advisory affiliates manage over $97 billion in assets under management.
