Savant Adds $213M Cedarstone Advisors in Fifth California Office
Savant Wealth Management has partnered with Cedarstone Advisors, a Thousand Oaks, California-based RIA with about $213 million in assets under management. FP Transitions helped facilitate the transaction, and financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2014, Cedarstone provides comprehensive financial planning to retirees and families throughout Southern California, including employees and retirees of Southern California Edison. President Steve Coker joins Savant as a member-owner, while senior financial advisor Carole Meitler and operations manager Walter Cifuentes join as employees. The team will continue to serve clients from the Thousand Oaks office.
“Their specialization of serving retirees aligns well with Savant’s desire to find firms with focused practices,” said Brent Brodeski, founder and CEO of Savant.
Coker said partnering with a larger organization will let the team spend more time with clients and less time building and managing infrastructure.
The deal marks Savant’s fifth office in California and brings the firm to nearly 75 offices across 28 states. Rockford, Illinois-based Savant manages about $56.6 billion in assets and $2.2 billion in assets under advisement.
The partnership extends a busy year of dealmaking. Savant’s acquisition of Corning, New York-based Socha Financial Group at the end of August was its ninth deal of 2026, and Fidelity’s RIA deal tracking ranked it the most active buyer in the first half of the year. Savant’s largest deal by assets to date came in March with Oklahoma-based Exencial Wealth Advisors, which brought $6 billion in AUM. Earlier, in February, Savant acquired Massachusetts-based Heritage Financial, a $3.9 billion firm.
Savant’s assets have grown from about $42.3 billion in February to more than $56 billion today, fueled largely by its M&A strategy.
