Connect Media Acquires RENTV News Site, Podcasts, Events

Connect Media, a privately held media company based in Los Angeles and the nation’s largest provider of commercial real estate (CRE) news, has acquired RENTV.com, a CRE news site founded in 1998. The acquisition also includes The REview video tool, the CRE Talk podcast and RENTV conferences. Connect Media founder and CEO Daniel Ceniceros will serve as CEO of the combined company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“RENTV has spent decades earning the trust of the commercial real estate community, and that kind of credibility can’t be built overnight,” said Ceniceros. “Bringing RENTV’s content, events, podcast and video capabilities, along with the people behind them, into Connect Media gives our readers, advertisers, event partners and clients a deeper and more dynamic platform. This is a strong fit for our audience and for our long-term vision.”

Connect Media operates across multiple business lines, including B2B news, conferences, and a full-service creative, marketing and communications agency. The company primarily serves audiences in the commercial real estate, finance and capital markets sectors, and earlier this year expanded into quick service and fast casual restaurants, retail technology, and banking B2B areas. The acquisition of RENTV strengthens Connect Media’s footprint in its core CRE sector while expanding its overall media and events platform.

The addition of RENTV expands Connect Media’s commercial real estate readership by roughly 50,000 and strengthens its presence from Texas to the West Coast. Connect Media plans to incorporate RENTV conferences in markets it has not previously served, including Seattle and San Diego, and will assume management of the 2026 Arizona State of the Market Conference, scheduled for Oct. 29 in Scottsdale, AZ.

Steve Bloom and Allen Wolfsheimer will join the Connect Media team. Bloom joins as VP, CRE Business Development West, and Wolfsheimer will join the Connect CRE editorial team as a content director. Bloom will produce conferences and lead sales from Texas to the West Coast, covering all CRE sectors. The former CRE broker will draw on more than 35 years of industry relationships to identify decision-makers and bring them into conferences across the industry. Wolfsheimer will serve as a West Coast editor, covering Seattle, California and Arizona.

“After many years building and operating RENTV, I wanted to find the right home for what we’ve created, and Connect Media is that home,” said Bloom. “Daniel and his team share our commitment to quality journalism and to serving the CRE community, and they have the scale, resources and vision to take these brands further. I’m excited to continue working with the industry relationships I’ve built over the decades, now with the support of a larger platform.”
