Concurrent Expands to $23B AUM With Addition of Winstone Wealth Partners
Concurrent Investment Advisors has added Houston-based Winstone Wealth Partners, continuing a recruiting push that has brought three former Raymond James practices to the independent advisory platform since May.
Winstone manages more than $425 million and serves high-net-worth families through financial and retirement planning, investment management, risk management, estate planning and virtual family office services. The addition increases Concurrent’s assets under management to more than $23 billion.
Founder and CEO Jeff Green joined Concurrent from Raymond James Financial Services alongside partner Lauren Smith and advisers John Grover, Robert Burks and Dylan Daggett. Winstone was founded as Green Financial Group in 2008 before adopting its current name as the practice expanded beyond its founder.
The team plans to pursue organic growth and acquisitions using Concurrent’s technology, compliance, operations and investment infrastructure. The affiliation also expands the planning and investment services Winstone can offer Houston-area clients.
“We work to understand what matters most to the advisers and the businesses they have built,” said Joe Mooney, Concurrent’s managing director and head of business development. He said the platform aims to provide practical support aligned with each team’s growth objectives.
In July, Concurrent added Potomac Financial Group, a newly launched RIA with $750 million that also departed Raymond James. That move followed the May addition of Houston-based TAVO Wealth, which manages about $1.2 billion.
The three practices brought approximately $2.38 billion to Concurrent in four months, strengthening its presence in Texas.
Concurrent operates as an independent registered investment advisor platform and is backed by Merchant Investment Management.
