Bessemer’s $5.75B Raise Tilts Toward Growth Deals
Bessemer Venture Partners has raised $5.75 billion in a single close, giving the firm fresh capital to invest in technology companies from their earliest stages through later growth rounds.
The total includes $1.75 billion for seed and early-stage investments and $4 billion for growth deals. The firm will invest both in existing portfolio companies and in businesses it has not previously backed.
Artificial intelligence is a focus across both stages. Bessemer has invested over $3 billion in over 260 AI-native companies since 2022, spanning computing infrastructure, foundation models, developer tools and applications. Its portfolio includes Anthropic, Abridge, Perplexity, Cognition and Ramp. About 70% of its investments are made at the early stage, the firm said.
“AI-native companies are scaling faster than any category of technology we’ve backed before,” Bessemer partner Byron Deeter said.
Bessemer manages $20 billion in assets and has backed more than 450 portfolio companies. Its teams invest across the United States, Europe, India and Israel.
