AssetMark Adds Two PE, Alts Funds to Private Markets Platform
AssetMark has expanded its private markets platform with the addition of the Calamos Aksia Private Equity and Alternatives Fund and the StepStone Private Equity Strategies Fund.
Through the funds, financial and wealth advisors will be enabled to gain access to six interval funds spanning across private credit, private real estate, private infrastructure, and private equity.
The new funds, which have been further integrated into AssetMark’s unified managed account platform, were mainly built to provide additional exposure to private equity offerings.
The Calamos Aksia Private Equity and Alternatives Fund leverages Aksia’s institutional research platform to locate “high conviction” opportunities in the marketplace, while the StepStone Private Equity Strategies Fund leverages on StepStone’s global private markets platform, AssetMark stated.
The solution was also designed to help advisors navigate the growing demands for portfolio construction, that are associated with private markets, along with liquidity terms and subscription processes.
The new funds are available as standalone investments or within professionally managed, goals-based private markets strategies that can be incorporated alongside clients’ existing public-market holdings.
“Private markets can offer meaningful diversification and long-term return potential, but incorporating them into a wealth practice requires additional care at every step of the process,” David McNatt, EVP and chief wealth solutions officer at AssetMark, said. “By combining a curated menu of private markets strategies with UMA technology and portfolio management support, we give advisors flexibility in how they use private markets while creating a simpler experience for their practice.”
AssetMark has also made private markets options available through GPS Select Access and SAVOS Personal Portfolios Access, at an investment minimum of $250,000.
AssetMark’s recent launch follows the firm’s rollout of new separately managed account offerings to its direct indexing platform. The direct indexing option enables advisors to gain broader access to passive investment offerings and portfolio management within unified managed accounts.
AssetMark has over $180 billion in assets across its platforms, which serves more than 10,000 financial advisors, as of June 30.
