Keystone Enters California with Acquisition of Infinity Assurance Group

Keystone, an insurance brokerage platform, has entered California’s market with its acquisition of brokerage Infinity Assurance Group.

Orange County, CA-based IAG, which was acquired on August 3, marks Keystone’s first platform partner in the Golden State.

IAG’s provides services in manufacturing, construction, large property, transportation, warehousing, logistics, and hospitality risks.

As part of the acquisition, IAG’s founder and chairman John Kookootsedes, will continue to lead the firm alongside CEO Eric Doll. Additionally, IAG’s team, clients, and offices will remain intact, Keystone stated.

“John, Eric, and their team have built a business on the same principle that sits at the top of our own brand, trust,” Dan Girardi, chief strategy officer at Keystone, said. “That discipline comes through in how they serve their clients, and it’s a big reason they’ve been so successful attracting top production talent from across the state.”

The acquisition follows Keystone’s acquisition of Kansas-based Titan Risk Solutions, a trucking insurance broker. As part of the integration, Titan will rebrand as Keystone Transportation Solutions later this year.

The acquisition is aimed at bolstering Keystone’s transportation capabilities long-haul trucking, regional fleets, specialized hauling, and last-mile delivery.

Following Keystone’s acquisition, the platform also appointed Mike Walsh as chief executive officer, succeeding Patrick Kinney, who has transitioned to Keystone’s Board of Directors.

Mechanicsburg, PA-based Keystone Agency Partners, was founded in 2020 by Keystone Insurers Group and Bain Capital. Last year, private equity firm Warburg Pincus bought an undisclosed majority stake in the firm.
