$400M Ex-Northwestern Mutual FA Team Joins OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners
OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners has lured a Florida-based financial advisory team from Northwestern Mutual, where they oversaw $400 million in assets under management.
Tampa, FL-based Bast Financial Group, which is led by founder and private wealth advisor Rebecca Bast, provides wealth management services, including financial planning and multigenerational wealth transfer, to high-net-worth clients, including business owners and executives.
The team also includes advisors Parveen Hall, Daniel George, Taylor McCullough, Elena Madrazo, Jonathan Clifford, and Jamie Hayes.
As part of the acquisition, Bast Financial Group will operate under the OnePoint BFG name, with plans to co-brand during its transition phase.
“OnePoint BFG offers the best of both worlds: the freedom and flexibility of an independent firm, combined with the resources, technology, and support we need to serve our clients at the highest level,” Bast said.
Through the acquisition, the practice will gain access to OnePoint BFG’s full fiduciary model, investment capabilities, technology, and a broader team of specialists.
In April, OnePoint BFG also added Orlando-based Armstrong & Sinoff Financial, from Northwestern Mutual, which managed about $425 million in total client assets.
New Jersey-based OnePoint BFG Wealth Partners oversees about $15 billion in assets under management across over 28,000 accounts, according to its latest Form ADV updated August 25.
