CAIS Adds Nearly 40 Alternative Asset Managers to Platform

CAIS has added strategies from nearly 40 new and existing asset managers over the past six months, expanding the range of alternative investments available through its wealth-management technology platform.

The additions span hedge funds, infrastructure, real estate, and other alternative asset classes. Participating firms include 26North, Adams Street Partners, AllianceBernstein, Apollo, Ardian, AQR, Blackstone, Blue Owl Capital, Carlyle, Coatue, Cohen & Steers, EQT Partners and Fortress Investment Group, among other managers.

“By thoughtfully expanding access to leading managers and strategies, paired with robust education and technology that removes operational friction, we’re allowing advisors to construct portfolios that reflect today’s market environment,” co-President Brad Walker said.

The expansion comes as alternative managers increasingly target private wealth as a source of capital traditionally supplied by institutions. A 2026 CAIS-Mercer survey found that 88% of advisors planned to increase alternative allocations within two years.

More than 600 strategies are available through CAIS, with funds subject to independent due diligence by Mercer.

The New York-based company raised $170 million in a July Series D led by Vista Equity Partners. The financing valued CAIS at more than $2 billion and brought its total capital raised to nearly $600 million, according to the company.

CAIS supports more than 2,500 wealth-management firms and 65,000 advisors overseeing approximately $8.5 trillion in client assets.
