Edwards Asset Management Adds Shoaf Wealth Management
Naples, FL-based Shoaf Wealth Management has transitioned to Edwards Asset Management’s branding, marking it the firm’s first deal for the year.
Shoaf Wealth Management, founded in 2024 by Bill Shoaf, offers financial advisory services, including wealth planning, portfolio management, legacy planning, tax solutions, estate planning, and lending resources.
Shoaf will remain with the firm throughout the integration process and will be working closely with Edwards’ managing director Rob Edwards, the firm stated.
“Bill is going to stay on to work with [Edwards Asset Management] for some period, and this is more like a succession plan for him,” Edwards said to Connect Money.
As part of the transition, Shoaf Wealth Management’s clients will gain broader access to planning capabilities and additional operational support.
The transaction, which closed on July 23, Edwards confirmed to Connect Money.
While Edwards Asset Management does not actively have other acquisition plans, the firm remains “opportunistic” regarding further deals, Edwards said.
“Those opportunities are driven by the advisors who are looking for greater resources and something to help give them continuity for both them and their clients. Rather than being a serial aggregator, we are looking to partner with advisors where there is a strong cultural fit,” he stated.
Both practices operate through Wells Fargo’s FiNet independent channel, allowing the firms to remain independent and gain access to Wells’ products, services, technology, and custodian capabilities.
Naples, FL-based Edwards Asset Management, a boutique wealth management firm with over $3 billion in assets under management, has over 30 financial professionals across Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Albany, New York, the firm stated.
