Dynamix-Led Consortium Closes $95M Fund to Finance ERCOT AI Data Center Interconnections
Investment firm Dynamix Capital Partners, alongside Staubach Capital and Soda Springs, has closed the SSSC Batch Zero Fund, LP, a specialized investment vehicle designed to finance security deposits required under the Electric Reliability Council of Texas’ (ERCOT) new large-load interconnection process for AI-driven power projects.
The fund deployed approximately $95 million to support nearly 1.7 gigawatts of electricity capacity earmarked for Texas AI data center developments. The investments include financing for a 1.2-gigawatt campus near Austin and a 480-megawatt project in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
ERCOT introduced its Batch Zero program as the first phase of a revised interconnection framework aimed at managing rapidly growing demand from large electricity users, particularly hyperscale AI data centers and other high-power industrial facilities.
“The challenge is no longer just identifying sites or demand. It is securing the scalability and capital needed to move those projects forward,” said Andrejka Bernatova, managing partner of Houston-based Dynamix Capital Partners. “We believe the SSSC Batch Zero Fund addresses a real financing need within that story and helps support the role that Texas will play within it.”
An undisclosed institutional investment platform will serve as the fund’s anchor credit partner, providing additional financing support for future deployments.
“Energy and infrastructure have proven to be the industry’s greatest bottleneck for America’s AI buildout, and this consortium saw a critical unmet need in that exact intersection,” said Jeff Staubach, founding partner of Staubach Capital.
The Dynamix team supporting the formation and closing of the fund included Managing Partner Andrejka Bernatova, Partner Nader Daylami and Philip Rajan, Director.
Staubach Capital is a real estate investment and development company focused on opportunistic and value-add investments across the commercial real estate spectrum. Soda Springs is a Texas-based investment platform and development company focused on executing and integrating energy and data center opportunities across the state.
