OpenWorld, Blockchain.com Partner to Scale Real-World Asset Tokenization
OpenWorld Ltd. and Blockchain.com have entered a strategic partnership to expand real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and institutional access across global digital asset markets. As part of the agreement, Blockchain.com has also made a strategic investment in OpenWorld.
The multi-year collaboration will integrate Blockchain.com’s trading, liquidity, and balance sheet capabilities directly into OpenWorld’s tokenization and advisory platform. The integration aims to streamline the full lifecycle of digital asset issuance, treasury operations, and secondary market trading for institutional and third-party clients.
The deal comes amid rising institutional demand for onchain exposure to traditional financial assets, driven by tokenization’s ability to offer fractional ownership, continuous settlement, and enhanced liquidity in historically illiquid markets.
“We’ve made a deliberate decision to build OpenWorld’s infrastructure layer alongside best-in-class institutional counterparties,” said Matthew Shaw, chief executive officer and co-founder of OpenWorld. “Blockchain.com brings the execution depth, product breadth, and regulatory infrastructure that our clients and pipeline demand.”
Under the terms of the agreement, both firms will coordinate joint go-to-market strategies, client outreach, and asset origination efforts to accelerate RWA adoption across private and institutional markets.
“Partnering with OpenWorld is a natural step forward for our institutional business,” said Al Turnbull, managing director of institutional client services at Blockchain.com. “By connecting our networks, we are delivering a seamless, secure pipeline for institutions looking to launch tokens and manage digital assets at scale.”
Since launching in 2011, Blockchain.com has registered over 95 million wallets and processed more than $1.1 trillion in cryptocurrency transactions worldwide.
