Cary Street Partners acquires Richmond-based Seneca House Advisors
Cary Street Partners has acquired Seneca House Advisors, a Richmond, Virginia-based wealth management firm, in a strategic move that deepens the acquirer’s footprint in its home market.
The transaction marks Cary Street Partners’ 22nd office nationwide. The acquisition adds a new West End location to the firm’s existing regional presence, which includes its headquarters in downtown Richmond and an office in neighboring Glen Allen.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Following the acquisition, Cary Street Partners manages more than $13 billion in client assets across all its subsidiaries.
Seneca House Advisors is led by financial advisors Elizabeth King, Matthew Daniel and Tyler Napier. The team will continue to serve clients from its current location while operating under the Cary Street Partners brand. The transition provides the Seneca House team with access to the acquiring firm’s broader wealth management platform, advanced technology, and institutional-quality investment capabilities.
“Elizabeth, Matt and Tyler bring deep expertise across financial planning, legal, and behavioral finance, backed by an exceptional group of professionals,” Joseph R. Schmuckler, chief executive officer of Cary Street Partners, said.
The acquired advisory team brings decades of combined industry experience, supported by staff specializing in paraplanning, operations, and client relationship management.
“Matt, Tyler and I have spent our careers building a practice around thoughtful planning and genuine relationships with our clients and finding the right firm to help us build on that foundation was essential,” said King, a managing director.
