MSCI, UBS Team on AI-Driven Private Markets Platform
MSCI and UBS have formed a strategic partnership to advance MSCI’s AI-powered private markets platform, targeting two of the asset class’s most persistent structural problems: fragmented data and limited transparency.
UBS will serve as an early adopter of the platform and work alongside MSCI to drive broader market adoption and push for standardization across the private markets industry.
The platform integrates fund discovery, portfolio management, analytics, and benchmarking within a single ecosystem — automating data processing and providing independent performance data designed to give investors more timely and consistent insight across portfolios. The goal is to bring the analytical rigor and accessibility that investors expect in public markets to the private markets space, where data infrastructure has historically lagged.
“By combining MSCI and UBS’s respective strengths, we aim to help build the infrastructure that can shape the future of private markets investing,” said Henry Fernandez, chairman and CEO, MSCI
Sergio Ermotti, group chief executive of UBS, said the collaboration aims to transform decision-making for clients across both public and private markets by shaping the next generation of private markets portfolio management solutions.
