Wealth Enhancement Adds $299M Texas Wealth Firm
Wealth Enhancement has acquired a Texas-based wealth management firm and its tax practice, which oversees more than $299 million in total client assets.
Houston-based Trippon Wealth Management Group, founded in 2005, is led by the tax’s founder and president James Trippon, and includes four advisors, eight tax professionals, and eight support staff.
The firm offers wealth management services, including financial planning, investment management, income planning, retirement planning, portfolio management, and tax solutions, to high-net-worth clients, including business owners.
The acquisition, which closed on July 15, also includes tax practice J.M. Trippon & Company PC CPAs, which was founded in 1988, according to Wealth Enhancement.
“Taxes can have a significant impact on a family’s long-term financial picture, but too often they’re addressed separately from the rest of a client’s financial plan,” Jeff Dekko, CEO of Wealth Enhancement, said. “James Trippon and his team have built a practice that brings those conversations together, helping clients make more informed decisions.”
Following the additions, Wealth Enhancement will have more than $158.5 billion in client advisory, trust, and brokerage assets, including $5.9 billion in assets with RIA Advisory Solutions Group, the firm stated.
The acquisition marks Wealth Enhancement’s 9th acquisition of the year, a company spokesperson confirmed to Connect Money.
Wealth Enhancement recently added Raleigh, NC-based WealthShield Partners and its affiliated wealth management practice, Madison Oaks Wealth Partners, which manages over $993 million in total client assets.
The firms have joined Wealth Enhancement as the Emerald Team and Madison Oaks Team.
Minneapolis-based Wealth Enhancement, which is led by Dekko, is majority-owned by private equity shops Onex Corporation and TA Associates and has 188 offices, the firm said.
