RIA Prairie Wealth Advisors Taps Wealth Exec for C-Suite Role
Prairie Wealth Advisors has hired former Guggenheim Investment Management executive Mike Finnegan as chief investment officer, adding senior investment leadership as the RIA continues to expand following a recent acquisition.
Finnegan will be responsible for Prairie Wealth’s investment platform, including portfolio strategy, manager selection, and investment due diligence. He will also contribute marketcommentary and support company-wide client and prospect conversations.
“The team has built a strong reputation for thoughtful, planning-led advice, and I look forward to helping further strengthen the investment platform behind that work,” Finnegan said.
Prior to joining Prairie Wealth, Finnegan held various senior leadership roles at ManchesterStory Fund Management and Principal Financial Group.
Finnegan’s appointment comes after Prairie Wealth merged with The McEwen Group, a five-person advisory team, which oversaw over $400 million in total client assets. The team joined Prairie Wealth from RBC Wealth Management.
Omaha, NE-based Prairie Wealth Advisors oversees roughly $558 million in assets under management across 389 accounts, according to the firm’s latest Form ADV, updated on June 3.
