Loomis Sayles Launches Multi-Sector Credit Interval Fund
Loomis, Sayles & Company, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, has launched the Loomis Sayles Credit Income Opportunities Fund, an interval fund designed to invest across a broad, multi-sector credit universe spanning both public and private markets. Natixis Investment Managers will distribute the fund.
The strategy may allocate to corporate credit, senior loans, structured credit such as collateralized loan obligations, and select asset-based and private credit investments. The fund will be available in institutional and retail share classes and will offer early investor incentives, the firm said.
“The convergence of public and private credit along with the paramount importance of careful credit research is creating compelling opportunities for experienced, research-driven investors,” said Matt Eagan, CFA, head of full discretion and portfolio manager at Loomis Sayles.
Eagan will manage the fund alongside portfolio managers Peter Sheehan, Eric Williams and Chris Romanelli. The team will work closely with the firm’s private credit group, led by Chris Gudmastad, and its structured finance team, led by Alessandro Pagani, in implementing the strategy.
“Today’s evolving market structure, marked by dispersion, liquidity challenges and shifting sources of financing, is driving investors to look beyond traditional fixed income and increasingly toward private credit as they seek more diversified sources of income,” said Matt Garzone, senior vice president of private placements at Natixis Investment Managers.
The new interval fund is intended to give investors access to a diversified mix of liquid and less-liquid credit opportunities within a single vehicle, aiming to balance income, total return potential and risk management across changing market conditions.
