Insights from ADISA Conference: Alternative Investment Allocations Represent Smart Money Play (VIDEO)

Alternative investment allocations are looking like a smart money play in the current market, experts told Connect CRE at the recent ADISA conference. “The allocation that the individual investor should have is really a decision between their risk tolerances, their expectations and the guidance they get from their investment professional,” said Joe Hart, director of capital markets, RealSource Properties.

That being said, he added that one reason institutions and endowments have been so successful in both up and down markets is because they have made a large allocation to non-traditional investment strategies.

In the video below, you’ll also hear from Gary Bechtel, CEO, Red Oak Capital Holdings; Dave O’Brien, senior consultant, Asset Strategy Advisors; and Michael Underhill, founder and CEO, Capital Innovations and incoming ADISA president
