Insigneo Nabs $6B The Americas Financial Group from Raymond James

Wealth manager Insigneo has added a $6 billion Miami-based wealth management firm, previously affiliated with Raymond James.

The Americas Financial Group is a newly formed team led by José Cabrera Sr., José Cabrera Jr., and Kristina Cabrera. The team brings more than 30 years of experience to Insigneo, serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and institutions across the Caribbean region.

Before joining Raymond James, the trio held roles at Morgan Stanley and its predecessor Smith Barney, Insigneo said.

At Insigneo, The Americas Financial Group will be using services from BNY Pershing and Goldman Sachs to “expand their reach and continue delivering even more comprehensive wealth management solutions” to their client base.

“We are excited to embark on this new chapter and look forward to deepening our client relationships through Insigneo’s global capabilities and comprehensive platform,” José Cabrera Jr., executive director at Insigneo, said.

Recently, Insigneo announced plans to acquire Miami-based VectorGlobal Wealth Management Group, and its RIA division, VectorGlobal IAG.

The acquisition includes the transfer of over $4 billion in client assets from Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, the United States, and Canada, boosting Insigneo total client assets to $35 billion.

Specific details of the transaction, which is set to close in the first quarter of next year, were not disclosed.

Miami-based Insigneo has over $30 billion in supported customer assets, serving over 32,000 clients across 68 institutional firms, the firm said.
