Crowd Street Partners with Callan to Expand Beyond CRE

Callan announced a strategic partnership with Crowd Street, the self-directed private market investment platform, to bring institutional-grade research, due diligence, and investor education to individual investors exploring alternative assets. Under the agreement, Callan will conduct diligence on a wide range of private market opportunities spanning private equity, private credit, hedge funds, venture capital, and commercial real estate.

As part of the collaboration, Callan will also provide educational resources, including access to its proprietary “CODE” platform. “We believe Crowd Street is at the forefront of providing individual investors’ access to private markets,” said Tim Pollard, director of Callan’s independent adviser group.

Backed by more than 55 researchers and decades of expertise, Callan’s consultants currently advise over 475 institutional investors who collectively have deployed $300 billion into alternative assets. By extending its reach into the self-directed channel, Callan aims to bridge the gap between institutional-quality diligence and retail investor access.

For Crowd Street, which was founded in 2018 and has already grown to a community of 300,000 members, the partnership represents a pivotal step in scaling credibility and investor confidence. “Working with Callan marks a major milestone for us,” said John Imbriglia, CEO of Crowd Street. “Its team brings 50 years of institutional experience, deep research capabilities, and a commitment to education — all of which align with our mission to empower self-directed investors with better access to the private markets.”
