Galaxy Digital Secures $1.4B Financing to Advance Helios AI & HPC Datacenter Buildout
Galaxy Digital Inc. has closed a $1.4 billion project financing facility to accelerate development of its Helios datacenter campus in West Texas, securing capital to deliver the first phase of power for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) operations under a long-term agreement with CoreWeave Inc. The facility, secured at 80% loan-to-cost with a 36-month term, is backed by all assets tied to the first-phase buildout. Galaxy has contributed the $350 million equity requirement, with the remainder covered by debt.
“We’re on track and excited to deliver the first phase of power to CoreWeave beginning in early 2026,” said Mike Novogratz, Galaxy’s founder and CEO. “This project is a key step in diversifying Galaxy’s business model as we expand beyond crypto and into the broader AI infrastructure space.”
CoreWeave has now committed to the full 800 MW of approved power capacity at Helios, following agreements earlier this year for both first- and second-phase expansions, plus a recently exercised option for an additional 133 MW. Under the 15-year agreements, Galaxy anticipates generating average annual revenue exceeding $1 billion, assuming full capacity utilization and based on current contractual terms and capital expenditure estimates.
Galaxy’s long-term infrastructure strategy for Helios targets up to 3.5 GW of total power capacity, with 2.7 GW currently in various stages of load study. The company aims to position Helios as one of the world’s largest AI datacenter campuses, serving surging demand from AI and HPC operators.
