Carson Group Partners with $200M Crescent Financial Advisors

Carson Group has collaborated with a South Carolina-based financial advisory firm, which manages about $200 million in client assets.

The team, Crescent Financial Advisors, founded in 2010, provides “proactive” and “personalized financial planning, retirement planning, investment management, estate and tax planning to high-net-worth individuals, families, CPAs, attorneys, and insurance agents, according to Carson.

Seneca, SC-based Crescent Financial, which has become a Carson partner firm since July 17, is led by president Jan Fredman and managing partner Lori Talley-Kelley. The team also includes associate wealth advisor Sarah Kelley and is supported by executive assistant Angela Brown and client services associate Ashlee Westmoreland, per the firm’s website.

“This partnership allows us to offload administrative burdens, tap into a team of experts and focus on what we do best: serving our clients. It also gives me the chance to do the work I love, with the support of a larger team I can lean on for advice,” Kelley said “At a time when regulatory demands and technological complexity are growing, it’s more important than ever to align with a partner who understands our values.”

As part of the partnership, Crescent Financial will be able to gain access to Carson’s vast resources, including its AI assistant, dubbed Steve AI, which was incorporated in May, the firm said.

Omaha, NE-based Carson Group, founded in 1983, oversees $42 billion in assets for more than 54,000 families, according to the firm.
