Acrisure to Acquire Heartland Payroll Solutions from Global Payments for $1.1B
Acrisure has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Heartland Payroll Solutions, the payroll and human capital management division of Global Payments, for $1.1 billion. The transaction, expected to close in the second half of 2025, will significantly expand Acrisure’s fintech capabilities and bolster its services for small and mid-sized businesses.
Heartland, which currently supports more than 50,000 clients, will be rebranded following the acquisition. Vince Lombardo will lead the newly acquired business as CEO, joining Acrisure’s leadership team.

The deal follows Acrisure’s recent $2.1 billion funding round led by Bain Capital, which valued the firm at $32 billion. Goldfinch Partners advised Acrisure on the Heartland transaction, with legal counsel provided by Skadden Arps, Kirkland & Ellis, and Schulte Roth & Zabel.
