TD Asset Management, iCapital Canada Expand Access to Global Infra Investments
TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM) has introduced a new pathway for Canadian accredited investors to access private global infrastructure investments, leveraging its institutional strategy through a collaboration with iCapital Network Canada Ltd.
The initiative features the TD Greystone Infrastructure iCapital Canada Access Fund (Access Fund), managed by iCapital Canada, which invests substantially all its assets in TDAM’s TD Greystone Infrastructure Fund (Canada) L.P. (Institutional Fund). The Access Fund offers eligible investors an opportunity to benefit from TDAM’s institutional-grade infrastructure portfolio.
TDAM’s Institutional Fund boasts an over 10-year track record, investing in over 500 private infrastructure projects across seven countries. The fund focuses on essential service investments, offering long-term stability and growth potential.
We believe this structure allows retail investors to participate alongside institutions with the same underlying infrastructure portfolio and assets,” said Jeffrey Mouland, managing director and head of global infrastructure investments, TDAM.
This collaboration aligns with a growing trend in the investment landscape, where firms are leveraging fintech platforms like iCapital to make alternative investments more accessible to high-net-worth individuals. Similar initiatives by other firms, such as Russell Investments and Partners Group, underscore the increasing demand for private market opportunities among Canadian accredited investors.
