Oklahoma Police Pension Commits $20M to Real Estate Fund

The Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System, managing $3.3 billion, expanded its $401 million real estate portfolio by approving a $20 million commitment to Humphreys Fund V at a recent board meeting. Advised by Asset Consulting Group, the allocation marks the pension’s first real estate investment since 2023, when it committed $25 million to Blackstone Real Estate Partners Fund X.

Humphreys Fund V, managed by Humphreys Capital, secured its first close in January with $102 million from state pensions and a state trust. The fund targets privately negotiated, off-market, mid-size real estate opportunities within Humphreys Capital’s $1.5 billion portfolio.

The pension’s real estate holdings also include investments with Siguler Guff, Cerberus, Angelo Gordon, Blackstone, Hall Capital, and Starwood. Over the year ending March 31, the fund achieved a 5.04% return, though its real estate investments recorded a 2.64% loss. The pension continues to diversify its real assets through core and opportunistic real estate strategies.
