Rockefeller Recruits $2.3B FA Team from UBS

Rockefeller Capital Management’s wealth management division has recruited most of a UBS financial advisor team, previously managing over $2 billion in client assets.

Advisors Ray Chase, Angie Newman, and Dan Riordan, along with four support staff, have joined Rockefeller Global Family Office in Florham Park, NJ. At UBS, they were part of Certus Financial Group, which managed $2.3 billion in assets as of September 30, 2024. One Certus advisor, Tristan Cooper, and three support staff remain at UBS, with their status unconfirmed by either firm.

The new Rockefeller team, named Chase Newman Riordan Wealth Partners, includes wealth manager Eric Schenk, Client Experience Manager Julianne Rose, Client Relationship Associate Jack Worth, Financial Planning and Investment Associate Julia Chase, and Client Relationship Analyst Nikita Chhabria.

Michael Outlaw, head of enterprise strategic growth and New York Metro divisional director at Rockefeller’s Global Family Office, called the team’s arrival a “compelling growth opportunity.” He highlighted their role in expanding services for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and institutions, offering family office solutions, trustee services, and philanthropic advice.

Chase, Newman, and Riordan bring 97 years of combined experience. Chase, with 37 years, spent nearly 13 at UBS and 16 at Merrill Lynch, with prior registrations at Smith Barney and Lehman Brothers. Newman, with 39 years, includes 20 at UBS, 11 at Citigroup Global Markets, and nearly eight at Lehman Brothers. Riordan, with 21 years, spent 13 at UBS, with prior roles at Merrill, Raike Financial Group, and PFS Investments.

Rockefeller has recruited at least four teams managing over $1 billion in assets this year, including a $3.4 billion San Francisco team and a $1 billion Dallas team, both from Merrill Lynch. Meanwhile, UBS has lost at least three billion-dollar teams in 2025, including a $1.6 billion California team to Wells Fargo in February and a $1.3 billion advisor duo to LPL Financial in January.
