Permira Hires Former Meta Executive Carolyn Everson as Senior Advisor

Private equity firm Permira has hired Carolyn Everson, a former Meta executive and digital media veteran, as a senior advisor.

Everson will work with the Permira team to support the firm’s investment activities and portfolio value creation.

Everson joined Facebook, now known as Meta, serving as vice president of global marketing solutions, where she oversaw a global team of over 4,000 people and more than $80bn in revenue. Everson has also held senior roles at Instacart, Microsoft and Viacom‘s MTV Networks.

“Her experience will be instrumental in both identifying new investment opportunities and helping our management teams realize their growth ambitions,” said Dipan Patel, partner and head of consumer of Permira, and Brian Ruder, partner and co-head of technology at Permira.

Everson is currently a board member of The Walt Disney Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Villanova University, the Humane Society of the US and Columbia Medical School. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
