TCW Group Closes Third CLO Fund at $400M

The TCW Group closed a $400 million collateralized loan obligation (CLO) fund, TCW CLO 2024-3, secured primarily by broadly syndicated first-lien loans. The CLO is TCW’s third new issue CLO close in 2024. The firm has significantly expanded its alternative credit assets, more than doubling its assets under management since 2020.

TCW currently manages 13 CLOs with approximately $5.4 billion in dedicated CLO assets. The firm recently launched the TCW AAA CLO ETF (ACLO), offering investors access to AAA CLOs through an ETF. In 2024, TCW’s CLO platform has completed three new issues, two CLO resets, and two refinancings, with Jefferies serving as placement and structuring agent.

“We expect to see strong growth in our CLO platform over the coming years and are grateful for the confidence investors place in our process and approach,” said Drew Sweeney, senior portfolio manager.
