JLL to Buy Javelin Capital to Bolster Renewable Energy Investment
JLL has agreed to acquire Javelin Capital, a North American investment banking firm specializing in renewable energy. This strategic move will strengthen JLL’s U.S. Energy & Infrastructure Capital Markets capabilities, building on its established track record in Europe and Asia, where it has executed over 150 transactions valued at more than $20 billion.
Founded in 2017, Javelin Capital brings a team of 16 professionals, spearheaded by CEO Matt Eastwick, to JLL’s Capital Markets Americas business. Based in New York and Chicago, the firm focuses on renewable energy, energy storage, and the energy transition sector. Javelin Capital provides a range of services, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), restructuring, capital raising, debt financing, and corporate finance solutions.
“Welcoming Javelin Capital to the JLL team expands our ability to guide clients with end-to-end support through the clean energy transition, bolstering our team in the U.S. to match our leading work in the space across Asia and Europe,” said Richard Bloxam, CEO, Capital Markets at JLL.
According to JLL Research, the growing adoption of clean energy across various regions has positioned it as the most cost-effective fuel option. This trend is driving a surge in activity, opening opportunities for firms engaged in capital raising, sell-side and buy-side advisory, and project finance advisory.
