CalTier Launches $500M REIT Targeting Class A and B Multifamily Assets
CalTier has introduced a REIT targeting multifamily real estate, with a goal of raising $500 million in capital.
CalTier REIT I will target Class A and B multifamily properties across the U.S., spanning California, Texas, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, and Utah. The REIT will focus on recently constructed, well-maintained core assets chosen for their condition, tenant stability, and strong market demand.
San Diego-based CalTier co-founder and CEO Matt Belcher sees the REIT sector as appealing to individual investors looking for cash flow and long-term capital growth. The minimum investment for the REIT is $5,000.
Founded five years ago as an online real estate investment platform, CalTier now serves 32,000 investors, up from 20,000 in 2023. Operating as a registered RIA, the firm continues to manage its CalTier Inc Reg A Fund and the CalTier Portfolio Fund, which focuses on existing Class B and C multifamily properties in the U.S. West and Southwest, alongside the new CalTier REIT I.
“The introduction of CalTier REIT I marks a pivotal evolution of the CalTier platform,” said Parker Smith, co-founder and COO of CalTier. “We are committed to opening the door to additional real estate and alternative assets for our investors, providing them with opportunities to diversify their portfolios and achieve their financial goals.”
