$600M Ex-Osaic Team Jumps to LPL
LPL Financial LLC continues its strong momentum of recruiting former Osaic advisors with the addition of Charter Oak Wealth Partners, who is aligning with existing firm Academy Financial, which joined LPL in August of 2024. The Hartford County, CT-based firm serves approximately $600 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets.
Charter Oak Wealth Partners, founded in 2016 by Gary Paul, provides financial planning and investment services for individuals, families and businesses. Paul is joined by advisors Gary Salva, Bill Matzinger and Chris Scuderi, and client relationship manager Lori Tedone.
“We’re excited to tap into LPL’s vast resources and services to provide our clients with elevated experiences,” said Paul. “We chose LPL for its stability as a Fortune 500 company, along with its strategic support, innovative technology and shared focus on putting clients first.”
The most recent Osaic departure to LPL was Salient Wealth Planning Group, a Manhattan Beach, CA-based advisory firm with $1 billion in client assets. Prior to that the San Diego-based broker-dealer added Bart and Alex Lewellyn, the father-son duo of Lewellyn Wealth, bringing approximately $320 million in client assets.
LPL Financial currently supports over 29,000 financial advisors and 1,200 financial institutions, managing approximately $1.7 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets for six million Americans.
