New Mountain Launches Wealth Solutions Team

New Mountain Capital, a New York-based alternative investment firm managing $55 billion across private equity, credit, and net lease real estate, has launched New Mountain Wealth Solutions, a new platform designed to support registered investment advisors (RIAs) and their clients.

The team of eight professionals is led by Blackstone alum Raleigh Peters, who will serve as head of wealth solutions and is responsible for helping to develop and lead New Mountain’s private wealth-focused business.

Peters previously served as head of global strategic partnerships within private wealth solutions at Blackstone and was a managing director at JPMorgan Asset Management, where he led the independent broker/dealer distribution channel.

In addition to Peters, the new firm has added Directors Chris George, Shayne Matthis, Kevin McNutt, and Scott Schoenfeld, VP John Camperlengo and Associate Nick Argentieri. The team is also supported by managing director in operations Michael McCarthy and Sara McNaughton, a VP in business development.

“We are thrilled with the world class team we have assembled to date and are excited to keep building the team in the months and years ahead,” said Adam Weinstein, COO and CFO at New Mountain.

This announcement follows the closing of New Mountain Capital’s latest flagship private equity fund, Fund VII, at $15.4 billion last year, as well as its recent exit from Citrin Cooperman, which was sold to Blackstone.
