$315M Former UBS FA Joins LPL Employee Channel
LPL Financial LLC announced that advisor Christopher Ketchen has joined their employee advisor channel, Linsco by LPL Financial, to launch Katama Wealth Partners. Ketchen, who previously served at UBS, brings approximately $315 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets to LPL.
Based in Boston, Ketchen specializes in comprehensive wealth management and corporate retirement plans. He is joined by senior client associate Courtney Poole, who is part of the management team. The move to Linsco provides Ketchen with greater autonomy, access to LPL’s integrated wealth management platform, and business resources.
Advisors that affiliate through Linsco, which launched in August 2020, receive the benefits of being independent, including ownership of their book of business and the autonomy to run their business as they see fit.
In November, LPL added Michael Bernier to its employee advisor channel to launch GWC Financial Advisors. He reported serving approximately $165 million in advisory, brokerage and retirement plan assets and joined LPL from Canter Wealth.
Prior to GWC, the San Diego-based firm welcomed Kultar “Sid” Bindra and Steven Alvarez to its employee advisor channel to launch Tampa, FL-based The Bindra Group. The team, previously with Truist Financial, reported serving approximately $300 million in assets.
LPL Financial currently supports over 28,000 financial advisors and 1,200 financial institutions, managing approximately $1.8 trillion in brokerage and advisory assets for 6 million Americans.
