Inland’s Real Estate Group Taps Joseph Binder as CIO
The Inland Real Estate Group, LLC has promoted Joseph Binder to CIO. He is responsible for managing and executing Inland’s investment strategies and capital markets activities and related strategic transactions. He will report to Inland CEO and president, Tony Chereso.
Binder currently serves as and will remain EVP of Inland Private Capital Corporation and CCO of IPC Alternative Real Estate Income Trust, Inc.
He has been with Inland for over 16 years and has served as a senior member of the IPC management team since 2012, leading the underwriting, due diligence and structuring of its acquisitions, along with all debt capital market transactions and corporate lines of credit.
Binder has overseen transactions exceeding $14 billion in investment real estate across nearly all asset types and a variety of investment structures and joint ventures while at IPC.
Binder manages a 10-person team that will collectively be elevated to the Group level to serve the entire enterprise. Gail Gress, SVP of Real Estate Finance for Inland, will join this team and report to Binder.
“Promoting Joe to this newly created position at the Group level as Chief Investment Officer underscores Inland’s commitment to continued growth and success across the enterprise,” said Chereso. “Joe’s extensive knowledge of the commercial real estate market, impressive track record, and deep industry relationships make him a natural fit for this role.”
