LPL Continues to Lure Osaic Advisors to Its Platform

LPL Financial LLC has added Dougherty, Tedesco & Associates, an $800 million Cincinnati-based advisory firm formerly with Osaic, to its broker-dealer, RIA and custodial platforms.

Founded in the early 1980s by Charlotte Dougherty, the business has evolved over the years into a holistic wealth management firm. Now under the leadership of advisors Andrew Tedesco and John Dougherty, III, the firm offers financial planning, investment management, retirement planning and estate planning.

The team also includes registered sales assistant John Dougherty, Jr., director of client services Caitlin Ackerman and support staff members Rita Anno and Ben Verchick.

“Our mission is to lead clients to a more secure financial future, supporting them step by step through life’s various stages,” said John Dougherty, III, noting they primarily serve corporate executives, engineers and medical practitioners.

The addition of Dougherty, Tedesco & Associates continues LPL’s recruitment of former Osaic advisors. In September, the firm added McKinney, TX-based GreenPoint Wealth Management with approximately $150 million assets. Earlier that month, the firm welcomed Bury Financial Group, a $655 million Youngstown, OH-based advisory practice.

In July, LPL added Rizza Financial Services, a $250 million Melville, NY-based practice. That same month, the firm announced that Investment Advisors Financial Group, a $1 billion Eatontown, NJ-based financial advisory firm, joined LPL’s platform, and Summit Planning Group, a $750 million advisory firm with offices in Branford and Glastonbury, CT, also joined from Osaic.

In June, LPL announced the addition of FSI Wealth Management, a California team that manages about $215 million. FSI was previously with Securities America, which is now part of Osaic.

LPL serves over 23,000 financial advisors, including advisors at approximately 1,000 institutions and at approximately 580 registered investment advisor firms nationwide.
