UBS Private Wealth Adds $470M Miami Advisory Team from J.P. Morgan
UBS Private Wealth Management announced that two advisors from J.P. Morgan managing more than $470 million in client assets have joined the firm in South Florida.
John Hardin, financial advisor, and Katelyn O’Hara, senior wealth strategy associate, join the UBS Miami Private Wealth Management division, led by Brad Rosenberg, and will be in the Coral Gables office.
Hardin and O’Hara join Integra Partners, a private wealth team led by Vicente Del Rio, Brian Beraha and Horacio Aguirre. The private wealth team joined UBS in early 2021 from J.P. Morgan Private Bank and has grown their practice to oversee more than $7.2 billion in client assets.
Hardin, who works with high-net-worth clients and family offices, had been with J.P. Morgan since 2016. O’Hara joins UBS after three years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank where she focused on high-net-worth families and individuals in the Southeast region and beyond. Previously, she worked at Goldman Sachs in the Global Markets Group, based in Warsaw, Poland.
In recent weeks, UBS has been actively recruiting advisors and advisor teams from its competitors. Earlier this month, the firm lured an advisor based in New Hampshire from Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for managing approximately $400 million in assets. Additionally, the firm recruited a Merrill team based in Colorado that managed approximately $360 million and a Morgan Stanley team based in Maryland that managed approximately $650 million last month.
