Inland, University Partners Forge Student Housing Relationship

Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPC), a real estate investment manager, and University Partners, an owner and operator of student housing in the United States, have announced a strategic partnership to manage and operate off-campus purpose-built student housing opportunities at “top tier” universities across the country.

The partnership builds on IPC’s goal to continue expanding its student housing footprint, which presently includes 8,014 beds across 17 properties around the country.

“Even among a high-interest rate environment and persistent inflation, student housing transaction activity remains robust and has historically demonstrated predictable and stable performance during times of economic volatility,” said Keith Lampi, president and CEO of IPC

Mark Cosenza, SVP of Inland Real Estate Acquisitions, LLC, will be the acquisition representative for Inland, negotiating and closing student housing deals on behalf of IPC.

“Inland continues to be bullish on acquiring student housing properties as the space continues to see high quality deliveries at tier 1 universities with solid rent growth,” said Cosenza.

Since inception, Oak Brook, IL-based IPC has monetized more than $4.7 billion in full-cycle transactions on behalf of its investors. Currently, IPC has more than $12.2 billion in assets under management.

Dallas-based University Partners currently owns and/or manages over 25,000 beds, representing nearly $4 billion of property value.
