HTX Ventures Invests in Blockchain Infrastructure
Figment Capital, a New York City-based early-stage venture firm focused on blockchain infrastructure, has secured an investment from HTX Ventures, the investment arm of cryptocurrency exchange HTX.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Launched in 2021 and led by James Parillo, managing partner, Figment Capital leverages its technical understanding and connection with Figment Inc., a leader in enterprise-grade staking infrastructure.
The firm offers technical insights and support to its portfolio companies, EigenLayer, Celestia, Initia, Wormhole, Movement, zkSync and others.
“The HTX Ventures team has been incredibly helpful in our growth as an emerging investment fund. Their knowledge of the Asian market and experience operating a globally recognized exchange has been invaluable as we continue to grow,” said Parillo.
Singapore-based HTX Ventures backs over 200 projects spanning multiple blockchain sectors, with initiatives already trading on the HTX exchange.
As one of the most active Fund of Funds (FOF) investors, HTX Ventures collaboratively forges the blockchain ecosystem alongside global blockchain funds, including Figment Capital, Dragonfly, Bankless Ventures, Animoca, Shima, and IVC.
