$400M Ex-Wells FA Team Moves to Ashton Thomas Wealth

Ashton Thomas Private Wealth announced that an advisor team has joined its independent channel, Ashton Thomas Private Wealth Network, from Wells Fargo Advisors’ independent Financial Network (FiNet) channel, where they managed about $400 million in assets.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Campbell Private Wealth Management, formerly Campbell Securities, is based in Midland, TX and led by co-founder Craig Campbell, a 46-year industry veteran who previously worked at FiNet for 14 years.

Campbell joined the industry in 1978, when he registered as a broker with Merrill Lynch. He worked briefly at Prudential-Bache Securities and E.F. Hutton & Co. before returning to Merrill in 1987, where he spent the next 23 years.

Campbell is accompanied by wealth advisors Marcel Campos, Braden Schaffner, Stefan Faria, and J. Hirohito “Hiro” Yamaguchi Esquivel, as well as two administrative assistants.

“We are proud of our legacy and our recent growth, and we are committed to bringing solutions and services that meet the evolving needs of our valued clients,” Campbell said. “We believe the Ashton Thomas Private Wealth Network is the right environment for the next phase of Campbell’s growth and development.”

Firms in Ashton Thomas Private Wealth Network retain ownership of their brand, staff, and overhead while receiving assistance in areas like financial planning, marketing, and compliance.

Scottsdale, AZ-based Ashton Thomas Private Wealth was founded in 2010. The firm was acquired in 2023 by Arax Investment Partners, a wealth management platform backed by RedBird Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
