Realta Wealth Names Former Kestra Exec John Barragan as COO

John Barragan has joined Wilmington, DE-based wealth management firm Realta Wealth as COO, where he will oversee the firm’s operating, service, and technology offerings.

Barragan will report to CEO Kevin Keefe who said, “John’s hands-on change-management experience across the broker-dealer and RIA space makes him a terrific addition to our leadership team.”

Prior to joining Realta, Barragan was COO and CCO at Kestra Investment Management. Earlier, he led the personal financial management shared operations team at Goldman Sachs. Barragan also spent several years at Cetera Financial Group, where he was SVP and head of strategic operations.

Barragan said Realta has an “unwavering commitment to providing a high-touch experience” and it was “refreshing” to join the firm “at a time when many of the larger enterprises in our industry are losing their cultures and diverting their attention away from quality service.”

Barragan’s hiring as COO follows other significant changes at Realta this year, including a rebranding of its prior name, CoastalOne, in January and the appointment of a new CFO, Tim Bowman, in March.
