RayJay Poaches $435M Advisor Trio from Merrill

Raymond James has added financial advisors Vincent “Vinny” Zaccardi, Nicholas “Nick” Zaccardi and Gerard Mattaliano to Raymond James & Associates, the firm’s employee advisor channel.

Based in Burlington, MA, the advisors and senior client service associate Dawn Balinelli operate as The Zaccardi Group of Raymond James. The group previously managed more than $435 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch and join RJA’s New England complex, led by complex manager Bill Drew.

“Aligning with Raymond James provides us the freedom to objectively advise and serve our clients to the best of our ability. We’re empowered to have meaningful conversations about wealth and their personal goals while still enjoying the robust resources of a large firm,” said Nick Zaccardi, first VP, investments.

Vinny Zaccardi, SVP of investments, brings over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, including various roles during his tenure at Merrill Lynch. His son, Nick Zaccardi has over a decade of experience in the financial industry, beginning his career as a financial advisor in 2013 at Merrill Lynch.

Mattaliano began working in the financial services industry in 2016 and has held advisor positions at Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwab and Merrill Lynch.

The team’s addition in Massachusetts follows an earlier move by Raymond James, which added a $800 million group from Commonwealth to its independent advisory channel.

Raymond James had more than 8,800 advisors with about $1.41 trillion under management as of April 30.
