Easterly, Harrison Street Team Up for Real Assets Ops
Easterly Asset Management, a multi-affiliate platform, and Harrison Street, a real assets manager with $56 billion under management, are partnering to offer real asset opportunities to clients in North America and Europe.
Since inception in 2005, Harrison Street, who maintains offices in Chicago and London, has invested more than $67 billion in senior housing, student housing, build-to-rent, healthcare delivery, life sciences and storage real estate, as well as social, digital and utility infrastructure.
Harrison Street’s offerings will also expand to the private wealth space with the deal, as Easterly Securities now serves as the exclusive distributor of the firm’s alternative real estate funds in the U.S. private wealth channel. Easterly said it would provide relationships with RIAs, family offices, banks and broker-dealers.
“Appetite for high quality, U.S.-based private real assets are increasing among private wealth investors, and we are looking forward to developing this channel for Harrison Street,” said Darrell Crate, founder and managing principal of Easterly Asset Management, who set up the platform in 2019.
With nearly $3 billion in assets under management, Easterly offers separate accounts, SMAs, ’40 Act Funds, CITs, and private placements.
Distribution on Easterly’s platform began on Feb. 27, the firm said.
