Emory Oak Unveils Tech-Driven Real Estate Platform

Emory Oak Partners, an Austin-based tech-driven investment firm, launched a real estate equity and debt investment platform that will employ proprietary technology and digital strategies such as data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Managing Partner, CIO and co-CEO Kade Thomas, along with co-CEO and general counsel Marty Meekins, will concentrate on equity investments in Class B and C multifamily and mixed-use properties across secondary and tertiary markets. The team also intends to make equity and debt investments in service firms within industries such as pest control, commercial janitorial and more.

Meekins was most recently COO of Empyrean Capital Partners, while Thomas was a founder of his own investment firm, Thomas Capital Partners. Thomas and Meekins are backed by a 15-person team.

“We are proud to formally launch Emory Oak at a time when we believe macroeconomic conditions, demographic trends, and monetary policy have created the ideal investment conditions for us to unlock value in often-neglected sub-sectors of real estate outside of central business districts,” said Thomas.

The launch of Emory Oak builds on the founding team’s record of executing over $250 million in real estate transactions throughout their careers.
