ICG Nabs Apollo’s Co-Head of US Performing Credit
ICG, a global alternative asset manager, appointed David Saitowitz head of US liquid credit. His focus will be on syndicated loans and high yield bonds within ICG’s North American credit business that includes both private debt and liquid credit strategies. The credit business, headed by Brian Spenner, manages more than $14 billion.
Prior to joining ICG, Saitowitz spent more than a decade at Apollo Global Management, most recently as partner, co-head of US performing credit and head of industry research. From 2004 to 2012, he worked at Stone Tower Capital as a portfolio manager and member of the fixed income investment committee. He also spent four years at JP Morgan, holding positions in credit portfolio research and syndicated and leveraged finance.
ICG noted that the senior hire “reflects ICG’s commitment to continuing to grow its US credit platform.” The firm has added three analysts to its liquid credit investment team over the past year.
ICG manages $81 billion of assets and investing across the capital structure, including structured and private equity, private debt, real assets, and credit.
