Acadia Launches U.S. Energy Transition Platform
Acadia Infrastructure Capital announced the launch of a clean energy transition platform led by former KKR & Co. managing director Tim Short and partner Michael Hamilton.
Acadia, comprised of additional industry veterans from Capital Dynamics, AMP Capital, and BlackRock, aims to support U.S. energy transition infrastructure through targeted mid-market deployment of common and structured equity, as well as the facilitation of substantial tax credit transfers.
“Our approach pushes past the traditional boundaries of intermittent renewable energy, using scale, analytics, and tailored solutions to navigate complex energy markets,” said Short, managing partner of Acadia.
The platform addresses critical funding gaps in clean energy projects and offers institutional investors and corporations bespoke programs designed to tap into the potential of the U.S. renewable energy market, which is expected to attract $2 trillion over the next decade, according to Acadia, citing a study from S&P Global / IHS Markit, October 2022.
Acadia believes it is well-positioned to help bridge the equity funding shortfall created by the Inflation Reduction Act and other clean energy targets.
