Morgan Stanley FA Duo Bolts for Independence
Two veteran wirehouse advisors have left Morgan Stanley to start Braintree, MA–based Stablepoint Partners, an independent registered investment advisory firm with $650 million in client assets, according to an announcement by RIA Sammons Wealth.
Stablepoint Partners is led by co-founders Christopher Griffith and Henry Wheelwright. Prior to Stablepoint, they managed the Griffith Wheelwright Group since 2001. They will be joined by wealth advisor Claire A. Smith, and AnneMarie Daly and Allyson Cellucci as part of the client service group. The firm chose Goldman Sachs for its custodial duties.
“We conducted careful due diligence across all aspects of our business to align a world-class offering and ecosystem for clients, including the selection of Goldman Sachs Advisor Solutions to provide our clients with best-in-class services, resources and an ever-evolving open architecture network,” said Wheelwright.
Since launching its custody solutions business in 2020, Goldman Sachs has gradually added clients, including significant RIAs such as $2.4 billion Burney Co. in August and $1 billion Sargent Investment Group in June.
